The familiar conduction

The Artesi family manages La Meridiana: Michele, the father, teacher in pension, dedicates to the kitchen, loves flowers and cures the garden. Lina, the mother, beautician for passion, is interested in the queries and of the hospitality. Denise, the older daughter, takes care of the tourism and the foreign languages, and follows the marketing and the administration. Vittoria, the younger daughter, studies Architecture of the Landscape to the University of Rome. The youngest daughter, Tiziana, attends the first year of the grammar school classic of Tropea. In season, we are all there to help you in order to render the stay of our hosts pleasant.

The vicinity to the sea

The Meridiana is located to 45 meters above sea level. To 150 meters the near private, inner beach the complex. It is caught up on foot through a path that of it facilitates the unevenness. Little sure steps for you and your children.

The beach service

The beach, accessible to the single guests, is of granular, white and cleaned sand, not dusty or sticky. The sea is there, to little steps from your deckchair; on the veranda beach-bar there are tables and chairs for moments of relax. Newspapers and tobaccos, on reservation. There are also toilets, showers, and services.

The restaurant service

In half board treatment breakfast is served on the veranda beach-bar and dinner in the restaurant. It is possible to have lunch at the beach-bar: a light meal, salads, a slice of water-melon or a fresh fruit salad. In residence treatment, it is demanded a little charge for the consume of meals in our restaurant, to conventional prices (a weekly bonus accorded to the type of apartment). Every morning, we will show on the menu on the notice board of the beach, so you can choose the day you prefer to have dinner. We also prepare meals “take away”, so you can eat comfortably on your terrace. Our kitchen is simple, delicious and above all, it uses fresh products.
The beautiful Weather
From May to September it’s sunny most of the time and temperature is about 25 to 35 degrees; in Spring and October temperature ranges from 18 to 25 degrees.

The tranquility

At La Meridiana there is not obligatory animation. Unfortunately sometimes we have to endure that our neighbouring. In any case, in our Residence there are not strong rules and specific times that prevent you to do the most important thing of your holiday: relax!

The near stores

A small supermarket to little steps. Along the roads of the surrounding country there are stands of fruit and vegetables, restaurants and pizzerias. Easy to go also on foot.

The city centers

In about 1 km there is the small Village of “S.Nicolò”. There you will find a variety of offers, with the little typical market on Thursday. To 8 Km there is Tropea (10 minutes by car, by train or by bus). Ancient city, full of fascination and surprises. On Saturday you will find the rich and crowded market, where it is found everything.

The usefulness services

The railway station of Ricadi far from 600 m. and it can be reached on foot, too. In S. Nicolò (1 km) is the parapharmacy, the bank with automatic service (in 3 zones), the petrol station. In Ricadi (3 km) is the pharmacy, the medical guard, the LPG station. In Tropea (8 km) there is the hospital and all the services of a common city.

Small animals

Dog and Cats of small height are admitted, respecting the rules. They have to be putted on leash in the common spaces, they are excluded from the beach, restaurant or park playground.

The territory

Living totally a vacation in a place means also to know of the territory. So our country house becomes point of departure for every kind of activity.
The excursions in the outskirtses: “Torre Marrana di Brivadi”, the lighthouse’s look-out, the Ancient watermill of “Lampazzone”, trekking along the “torrent of Ruffa’ valley”, to the discovery of traces of the past following the path between the driven in vegetation; or Minicruise of a day to the Aeolian Islands, or Stromboli by night, or the “naturalistic Park of Sila” or that of the “Aspromonte” mountains. Tropea’s stop is really something exclusive: Madonna’s Sanctuary Island, Cathedral, the alleys of the historical center, the irresistible temptations of the typical stands and homemade products. In Pizzo is tasted the “Tartufo”, typical ice cream. In Vibo Valentia it can be visited the archaeological Museum and in Serra San Bruno the Certosa; In Zungri the “Coves of Sbariati”. Archaeological sites of Magna Graecia: Kroton, Sybaris, Locri Epizephyrioi, Reggio Calabria (Bronzes of Riace). The medieval cities: Stilo and Gerace.The Byzantine sites: Rossano and above all the Sacred “Monastero di San Giovanni Theristis” of the municipal office of Bivongi. The route of the taste discover old paths and forgotten tastes in our typical products: Red Onion of Tropea, 'Nduja of Spilinga, Pecorino from Monte Poro, extra virgin olive oil. During all the summery period, there are numerous festivals of the countries which celebrate and exalt these extraordinary fruits of the earth.
